Experienced Tax Preparer & Reviewer (Remote)
Annual Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 depending on experience with performance bonuses

We are a growing income tax practice seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, dependable, and thrives in a proactive advisory role while delivering accurate and timely results.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns using CCH or other top-tier tax software.
• Develop tax plans and projections with CCH Access projection software for individual clients.
• Research complex tax issues using tools like CCH AnswerConnect, ChatGPT, and other advanced resources .
• Work quickly, efficiently, and resourcefully while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Provide advisory guidance to clients as part of our tax planning and strategy process.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven track record of reliability, competence, and integrity .
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax law, with advanced software proficiency.
• Ability to work independently while communicating clearly and professionally.
• Interest in a long-term relationship that could lead to practice succession .

• " Prior experience managing a tax practice or an established client base is a significant plus. "
• " Candidates who can transition an existing book of tax clients will be prioritized. "

Education
BBS in Finance from Villanova University,
Undergraduate accounting at the University of Baltimore
Master’s of Science in Taxation from Washington Institute for Graduate Studies.
CPA license in Colorado

Prior to owning my business, I was employed for 8 years in private industry accounting and 4 years in public accounting and then decided to move on and start my own practice. I have lived in Boulder Valley for the past 30 years and am married with 4 children.
