Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a
HVAC Electrician to support our manufacturing areas in and around
Berkeley ,
MO .
Position Responsibilities: \n - Install, maintain, repair and rework electrical and /or electronic systems related to machinery, plant facilities, and associated electrical / electronic components and/or specialized equipment such as power supplies, controllers, building equipment (including HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration)), and automated building controls
\n - Use technical knowledge, existing procedures or develop new procedures to diagnose and correct system and component malfunctions to achieve optimum operation efficiency
\n - Modify, test and calibrate pneumatic, electrical or electronic systems or components including interactive and electromechanical components and adaptive computer system machine controls
\n - Develop and establish methods to accomplish required maintenance, repair, retrofit, or modification of equipment and machinery
\n - Experience in troubleshooting of AC and DC Drives, servo systems and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
\n - Experience in high/low pressure chillers, refrigeration systems, direct fired make-up air units, and Data Center Environmental Systems
\n - Diagnose electrical systems using various test equipment
\n - Ability to troubleshoot direct digital controls (DDC) variable air volume systems (VAVs)
\n - Understand ladder diagrams, schematics, relay logic and motor controls wiring
\n - Knowledge of personal computers (PC) and software including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications
\n - Ability to work safely in a production environment that at time include high noise levels, confined spaces and heights over thirty feet

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): \n - High School Diploma or equivalent
\n - Experience in HVAC
\n - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
\n - Experience with electrical systems including National Electrical Code, basic relay logic and high voltage systems
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): \n - Vocational/Trade School degree or certification
\n - Experience with protective relay testing
\n
\n
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Additional Information: \n - The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.
\n - This is an hourly position governed by the IBEW Collective Bargaining agreement.
\n - New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of ninety (90) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period

Summary starting pay range: $20.41/hr. - $38.32/hr.
